Summary
A training exercise turned wrong as the Harekaze fired upon the Sarushima, followed by the disappearance of multiple ships in the area in or not in the exercise. In response, Japan declared a state of emergency and deployed the JMSDF, along with the Blue Mermaids and White Dolphins sending in their own ships to help deal with a suspected mutiny. Little did they know, they were about to face the worst crisis since the sinking of the mainland.

Voices surrounded him. They called back and forth in a language he didn’t know, and all the while he was hefted upwards, the thick-hewn rope burning against his skin. The gray hull soon disappeared into the sea-sprayed deck: all eyes were on him.
All the imperials looked the same, dressed in oppressively dull uniforms. Only two caught his eye: one figure was dressed in black, from the tips of his gloves to the toes of his boots. His golden eyes bored into Zeb; a rope was clenched in his hands. Zeb followed the trail: it was the one that had first tangled around his tail.
The second figure was dressed in white, his skin taking on an almost blue pallor. He would have looked human despite it if his eyes had not been blood red. Instantly, Zeb knew that he was staring down the Grand Admiral of the Emperor’s navy.
“What a fascinating catch,” Thrawn murmured.
(In which the rebels are merfolk, the imperials are human on boats, Thrawn is up to no good, and Kallus has to deal with a mysterious sea folk with green eyes and a purple tail).

The name of the Pre-Master Cycle has nothing to do with Master Frown, since this collection of fan fiction tells about the life of the characters after the finale and before the birth of Master Frown and Brock's son Jacob (that is, before the actions of Master Jacob). This cycle is inextricably linked with MJ AU, but perhaps you will appreciate this fan fiction of mine as something separate from future works specifically on Master Jacob.
