Summary
Rodney can’t stop himself from sputtering, “It is not a ‘special secret language,’ it’s Star Wars! It’s a cultural reference.”
“It’s an Earth cultural reference.” Ronon says skeptically.
“Not at all,” she says brightly, expression strained. “I have learned to ask for clarification. This…Jabba’s Palace maneuver? We have used it before.”
“Okay, that settles it,” John says, gaze locked on Rodney’s fingers as they deftly tie the last knot of the cuffs. “Once we rescue Zelenka and get back to Atlantis, McKay and I are gonna show you guys the Original Star Wars trilogy, and Star Trek, and Indiana Jones, and maybe some Batman. Then everyone will be caught up and in the loop. Sound good?”
or, John and Rodney take it upon themselves to educate Ronon and Teyla about all things Earth Nerdy. In the process, they realize they have wildly different interpretations of their shared favorite media.

Summary
They sat in quiet and John held on to Rodney's wrist again. Rodney kept watch as John closed his eyes, that fake-sleep under the long lashes, and he stayed long after John wanted him gone, ignoring the order to leave that Sheppard had made twice. He slouched onto the edge of the bed, let John keep his hand even as he rested his head on his crossed arms. John watched him but allowed it.
"Just so we're clear," said Rodney, barely a whisper. "I'm working for the Genii until we get the ‘gate fixed? That's... that's what I'm doing."
John's eyes closed then and his hands squeezed around Rodney’s.
"Please?" he whispered back, finally. Rodney clasped his loose hand over John's and he stood up, leaned over the edge of the bed to rest his forehead to John's.
--When Kolya captures Sheppard and McKay, the pressure is on Rodney to keep John alive long enough for their team back on Atlantis to track them down. They find themselves keeping each other sane as they navigate the hazards of scattered allies and a broken truce between the Genii and Atlantis.

Summary
The stars, the gas clouds, the black holes, the universe, the whole of it, it was all something like magic to Rodney - not in the sense of either wizardry or trickery, but in that tiny internal glow that learning something new - that seeing, and understanding, the vastness and beauty of everything - always gave him.

“Have you heard the news yet?”
“What news?”
“It came through on the latest email blast,” John said. “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. It’s over. Gays can serve in the military now.”

Summary
Rodney McKay prides himself on thinking first and foremost with his brain. He is where he is today because he can think through anything. It's not pseudo-science or evolution; it's him.
Sheppard, on the other hand, probably doesn't use his brain at all.

“He told you he liked your shoulders. How can you misunderstand that?” John asks.
“I thought it was sarcasm.”
John just gives him a critical look, so Rodney adds, “Also, I can prove that I am not homophobic.”

Summary
While on a trip off-world to a highly technological but traditionally-steeped planet, McKay and Sheppard find themselves accidentally adopted by a dragon. A dragon that they have no idea how to care for. But the locals do, and offer to help with training.
So, naturally, with the team staying as guests and potential trading partners, the Regent of their host country expects the team to honor their ritual exchange of Omens. Instead, the team pairs off to dodge the problematic tradition without causing offense.
And things go downhill from there. (...Literally.)

Summary
Normally, they talked for seconds about the stuff that mattered and hours about the other stuff that - well, it still mattered, but in a different, less ‘mattery’ way. Things like movies and food and whatever most interested and/or annoyed Rodney at that point in time.
Occasionally - very occasionally - John would volunteer a small piece of his past and Rodney would shrug and grunt in a manly fashion; while inwardly clipping it out and pressing it into his scrapbook, with a colourful backing, detailed notes and a border.

Summary
.
.
All is not what it seems as this tale unfolds. In a pitch of sexual intensity, Major Shepherd and Dr. McKay begin an illicit affair. But both men are deeply broken in their own ways, hiding past secrets that have left them unable to connect to the world.
Once assigned to the same mission, they are forced to contend with ensuing complications to their work relationship. Yet despite themselves, they forge a bond much deeper than mere physical attraction. Struggling with inner demons and unrequited feelings, they alone can reach through the damage and save each other.
A sweeping opus of two souls cracked bare to the beginnings of old wounds. Even through the darkest moments of pain, it unwinds endearingly sweet and redeeming. Evolving through time, the romance culminates; continuing into stories that burn bright with happiness and a love to last a lifetime, perhaps even beyond.

Summary
While no one knows the real identity of the Falcon and his band of soldiers, the entire ton is familiar, and perhaps a little in love, with his exploits. The Falcon swoops into Genii controlled areas - daring and audacious - freeing scientists and information. The ton is a light with gossip: they say the Falcon flies in and out as daringly as his namesake suggests. They his recklessness is unmatched. They say he can’t be caught.
Marchioner Rodney McKay-Sheppard most certainly does not have the constitution for such treacherous, and fearsome work, but he does what he can to support the cause. A brilliant a scientist, Rodney designed the cryptography system the Falcon uses to keep messages between the Falcon and his allies secure from prying Genii eyes. It has remained maddeningly impervious to any Genii attempts to crack it, while the Genii’s own cyphers are easily broken and laid bare by him.
If only his marriage to the Marquis John Sheppard was as simple for him to solve as the Genii codes.

Summary
Even after Rodney had stopped the steady influx - using three computers at once and turning bright red from the effort - there were far too many Sheppards to fit in one room. So, they’d ended up taking them in batches to the Mainland, where they leaned and slouched and prowled like so many bored lions, relaxed on the surface but chockful of claws when roused.

Summary
John decides it's now or never - he has to confront Rodney about how he feels, before his friend leaves Atlantis to begin a new life with Jennifer. But his big confession is more disastrous than even John expected...
“Sheppard, what the fuck?” He’d been in his bed, asleep. And now he was on the floor, recovering from one of the most intense, trauma-induced, flashbacks, nightmares, whatever-the-hells that’d been.
Rodney covered his face and rubbed his eyes, shudders running throughout his body. He wiped away the tears and sweat with the hem of his t-shirt and then let his hands fall, weakness dragging his limbs down. “God, Sheppard, why? You’re a soldier! You should know not to do that! You should know not to startle me awake!”

Summary
What could he do to get the man’s attention? He’d established Rodney’s bi credentials early on, and thought it unnecessary to divulge his own because John’s discreet flirting was usually quite enough to reel them in.
But Rodney McKay would not be reeled.
