A fill for the FFXIV Anonymous Kink Meme for the following prompt:
Please envision the Warriors of Darkness, newly brought to the Source after the Flood of Light meant they were in a situation where their only hope is an Ascian offering to help them via ritual suicide. They know Cylva was a traitor. Everyone they knew is probably going to die, and soon. They trust Elidibus as far as they can throw him, and as far as they know, Urianger is his loyal lackey. They just had the worst day of their lives, and Elidibus would very much like to help them, especially as he is a primal of salvation. There are limits to his ability to reassure them, though, and everyone here is extremely wary of Ascians.
Luckily, he has creation magic, which means he has very good weed.

Summary
Hands pressed behind him into the soil, his head was dropped against his shoulder. Silently, Nyelbert made a bet to himself that he was going to be asleep. Yet as he approached, Ardbert perked up at the sound of footsteps, turning his head to look over his shoulder. As he caught sight of Nyelbert, he broke into a grin and shifted upright.
“A welcome sight, what do I owe the pleasure out to these fair coasts?” Ardbert asked. Eyes dropping to the package Nyelbert then procured from his pocket, his mouth fell open with a soft ah. “I see. It came in, did it?”
“I can’t say for certain what it is or what you have been waiting for. Only that I was instructed to deliver it to you with as little delay as possible,” Nyelbert explained.
Lips pursed into a tight smile, Ardbert fought the laugh that seemed to bubble in him only to promptly lose letting out a warm chuckle. “Open it.”

Summary
This is a right mess, but this was a little something I've been working on for quite some time. This is a role swap au of Shadowbringers, where the "Source" as we know it is referred to as the "First". There is an underlying theme of soulmates in this one, but I don't want to spoil it by explaining~

There are previous deaths mentioned in this from earlier patches. Each chapter will have half in Yesui's (the WoL) point of view, and half in Ardbert's point of view.
I really picked this up to actually get to experience writing Shadowbringers if Ardbert's group got to experience it in the stead of the WoL and the Scions, but it all takes place on what we know of as the source, so there is a lot of experimenting in this one.

This is a long idea I had, a very canon-divergent fifth holy grail war where one Warrior of Light decided he found a loophole to summon his fallen comrade and grant her a body to live once more. Unknowing to him, the Grail isn't what it seems, nor does Yesui seem to want to fight for something so selfish. Another simply wants to return to his own world, to his dear friend. One Priest simply wishes to experience unfathomable joy. Who will obtain the victory the sought?
There will be multiple ships in this, but they will be tagged as they show up. Very little handwaving, a heck of a lot of plotting and bending the rules. There will be servants from Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night, and Final Fantasy XIV.

This is a role reversal I've been working on since my second playthrough of Shadowbringers, and let me just say- it has been *painful* to write it. In this; the Source is Norvrandt, the First being Eorzea and beyond. The Scions are dead, the Warrior of Light naught but a shade wandering Coerthas when (Yesui) she is drawn to a beacon. Little had she expected what she would find returning to the home she once shared with Thancred, Y'shtola, and the others, but she can do little more than to observe. Or...can she?
