He’s probably stuck around the New Inn for too long anyway, and it’ll be fine without him; he’ll drift on the currents of the Universe and go where he’s needed- maybe he’ll even find some nice, distant, quiet planet to settle down on and try something new. Or maybe he’ll just find an island somewhere in the Mediterranean and grow some vegetables. Either way, he’s got so much to live for, and truly, this time, nowhere to go but up.
Hob learns to cope. Dream learns to be better. Delirium (sort of) learns how to drive. A family learns how to heal. And somehow, all manner of thing shall be well.

As if he had heard nothing of what she had told him, or maybe he had and he did not care at all. He, a supernatural monarch, found himself in need of a mortal to assist him in the elucidation of a mystery that baffled him, and she, as said mortal, had no choice but to comply with his wish. She, so small and irrelevant in comparison to him. A God, a cosmic force, in front of an ant. Just a mote of dust, despite all her sass and behavior. “You will come with me. There is more than one matter that we must solve.”
He really was, wasn’t he? Mihrimah had too much, too much experience with all kinds of idiots to not recognize one. And even more so when said idiot stood right in front of her, the embodiment of arrogance and utter conceit.
Aich.
What a letdown.

Queen Titania laughed heartily. "He is a greedy, grasping creature by all accounts. And you are a tempting morsel. And it is your task to ensure you draw his eye." Her amusement yielded to an iron stern glance. "You will use whatever temptations, magical or otherwise, to draw him to you and keep his attentions."
"For how long?" Nuala asked quietly.
The queen gave a lazy shrug. "For so long as he remains entangled with the Lord of Dreams. If the whispers hold any truth, he may be immortal."
Immortal!
Nuala had to bite down on her lip to stop from protesting. She hadn't wanted the task even when she thought it was only for the short span of a mortal life — at most, they blinked out in a few decades. But to be sent to an undying man!Rumors abound of an unaging man, but none know how he became that way or what he's doing with this gift. Only that the last inhuman creature to touch Hob Gadling's life was Dream of the Endless.
In 1461, Titania gives Nuala to Hob to distract & spy upon him so he doesn't seduce Dream into whatever devious machinations Hob clearly has in mind.
