They spent their lives together and nothing their parents or outside forces do could make their group fall apart. When it comes down to it, for some of them, all they have is each other.
Or, a series of connected stories from the group's childhoods in Hopewell. See them from their first meeting all the way up to adult hood where they tried to be better parents then what most of them had.

Where Ruby is the Summer Maiden, Raven is her paternal mother, Weiss is a mental trainwreck, Blake and Yang remain almost the same, Jaune remains his usual dorky self, but doesn't make himself look like an idiot, Pyrrha is still trying to figure out her own feelings, Ren and Nora remain largely the same, Tai is now just an Uncle, and no one believes he's actually found a girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Ozpin's inner circle isn't as useless, Cinder is still cocky as all hell, Adam Taurus belongs in a Maximum security prison, Neo is still Neo, Roman exists, and Emerald has serious issues.
