Axel is definitely a really cute kid, and Vesper adores the shit out of him, but nowadays he’s become Altare’s tiny sticky shadow. Altare dotes on the boy like nothing else, indulging him with ‘sparring’ and keeping snacks tucked away in his pockets. The endless cuddling, the warm headpats, the way he tucks Axel into his embrace when it’s naptime – it’s all reminiscent of a nesting bunny and it’s warm, round-bellied kit. It’s adorable. What’s not adorable is that Vesper hasn’t been able to kiss or even hug Altare without a fussy baby pulling at the leader’s jacket and weaponizing those big puppy dog eyes.
