The parts of it that was buried deep inside of them with programming has started to surface in painful memories that they learn are true in the most brutal way imaginable. It isn't the first time someone has tried to kill them, they've been walking targets for decades now but this time around, the assassins hit too close to home for Bucky and Natasha and they are left to unravel a web of lies and dig deep inside of themselves to find a truth that was taken away years ago forcing Natasha to face the consequences of brutal lies when she has to discover if she can live with herself for telling a lie she didn't even know she was telling.
Each of them has been through hell both together and apart but this time it will take all they have to hold onto their professionalism when this is more personal than anything they've ever faced before and there's more at stake than just the two of them making it out alive.
