Summary
In which I introduce an alternate version of Ruin Eclipse from the Sun and Moon Show, with the idea of writing a version of Ruin who was not evil or a trickster who eventually commits mass genocide because he didn't just go to therapy. 😐
For clarification, I'm not saying my version is better or that SAMS' version is at all a bad character. This is just my fun little AU to showcase my take on Ruin! And as I explained in the tags, he's a hybrid between the game and the show, but his personality leans more towards the game version.

Summary
The story follows Nexus' new life settling in with Sunset (Dark Sun). Hurt and abandoned by his family, Nexus suffers from trauma, trust-issues, grief, and the lack of identity. Not knowing he is still being manipulated by Sunset, Nexus grasps for the fake safety this mysterious Evil Sun seems to provide for him.
Meanwhile, in the main universe, Solar wakes up and discovers what has happened after he has been gone. The lack of New Moon's presence doesn't sit right with Solar, and he decides to leave the main dimension with Eclipse and start searching for his best friend.
It soon becomes very clear that Sunset has been pulling the strings behind the scenes for a while, and is more invested in Nexus and Solar than anyone would've guessed.
// This is the main story for my TSAMS AU called Backstage AU. I am simply in disbelief at how everyone in the show and in the fandom is treating NewMoon/Nexus during the current arc. So of course as a fan-creator, I want to make an AU where he gets the love he deserves. The AU diverges from the show's main storyline from the point where Eclipse starts the process of bringing Solar back.
