The walls shone with the glare of the harsh fluorescent lights, an odd one here and there flickering. The hallways were clean, and white, it was seemingly bright, too bright thanks to the lights. Along with the clean look, came the clean smell too, a strong scent of chemicals, mainly of bleach, it was heavily intoxication, the clean smelling making one's head spin, as well as making one's throat burn from the bitter yet sour— almost acidic —taste that came from the air. The hall, filled with nothing except for the walls and doors to one's room, allowed for sounds to be amplified, more prominently the sound of footsteps. -
