Summary
In a world under the protection of amazing heroes, Kyan Reki had dreams of one day becoming a hero himself. The only problem? Superheroes generally have super powers and Reki was about as normal as they come. Still, he wasn't one to let a small issue like that deter him. And when a new student comes to town he finds that he might have more motivation than ever to chase after his dreams.
Meanwhile, Nanjo Kojiro, aka Gorilla Joe, has been Okinawa's primary hero for nearly a decade now. He is everything a superhero should be: kind and strong and never failing to beat the bad guys. However, activity in Okinawa's criminal underground have been ramping up lately and a certain pink haired villain has been making more frequent appearances and consequentially reopening old wounds. Joe finds himself facing tough choices as he tries to figure out who it is that really needs saving.

He manages to find a ride out to California (from his sworn enemy at that) and a coach! (Joe really just needed a ride too but.. Reki can pretend it's his story that's persuasive) Plus Langa is along for the ride! And Langa's super important. Reki's number one priority depending on how the list shuffles, most often in the direction of his best friend.
Langa... well, Langa is resigned to being "bro" for the rest of his life. After all, Reki's been obsessed with a girl the entire time they've known each other and Langa was pretty miserable just before that. Reki makes him happy. Langa wants Reki to be happy too. Even if that means he'll be stuck pining for infinity. He can totally handle it with grace. Totally...

“Promise me something, Kojiro,” Ainosuke said slowly, carefully stepping back as if it physically pained him. It might as well.
“Anything,” Kojiro replied, with an instant ease, no hesitation in his mind. He could do anything asked of him.
“Wait for me.” He didn’t expect that, though. His eyes widened slightly, and he looked at Ainosuke as the other teenager took a deep breath and looked off to the side. “I don’t know when I’ll be back. I don’t know when I’ll be free. But wait for me, because I know I’ll be back eventually.”
Kojiro opened his mouth to speak, and closed it again. He felt stunned. But it wasn’t surprising, at the same time. He wasn’t offended. His chest turned and squeezed, and he knew his answer.
“Okay.” He whispered. “Okay, I’ll wait, Aino.”

Reki could see his potential, he had never heard a voice as amazing as Langa's, and Reki needed someone other than Miya as a band mate. So, it made sense for them to play a couple songs and a few gigs together. Kojiro grips the edge of his worktable firmly but otherwise makes no move to stand or perceive his cousin in any pitiable way. This is a delicate matter. Miya might show himself to be cocky and indifferent, but Kojiro knows he’s far from the nonchalant boy he boasts he is.
First things first though.
“Who’s Sakura-sama?” Kojiro gently pries.
