Something about Tetora has always intrigued Midori, maybe it was his loyalty or his dedication. Whatever it was, Midori couldn't really tell what about Tetora made him feel so comfortable around him.
But about Tetora.. he's been acting a bit strange lately. For some reason, he seems to get flustered often now, and Midori still can't figure out why Tetora told him the moon was beautiful that one evening when it was barely visible.
Maybe Yuzuru can help him figure out his feelings.

“Thanks,” the boy sheepishly replied, giving him a small, embarrassed smile this time. Midori wondered which one he preferred of the two. “My mom is cooking, but we only moved in recently, and she heard about this place from one of the neighbours, so she sent me to buy some things.”
Ah. That made sense, then - they just moved in. Midori resisted the urge to ask where, as he refused to let the conversation become more long-winded than it needed to be.
“Hey,” the boy said. “What’s your name?”
Midori pondered on the consequences of letting him know, but his curiosity got the better of him. He wouldn’t admit it, but the boy’s reactions were surprisingly entertaining, and somewhat unpredictable at that. He took the money, hands unintentionally brushing against his, “Takamine. Takamine Midori.”
“Oh! So the greengrocer is named after you!"

Midori, to Tetora, is an enigma. He's a weak-hearted guy, and he sometimes does or says things that piss Tetora off until he's at his wit's end. They're polar opposites, in every way, and without the unit bringing them together like a stroke of fate, he doesn't think they ever would've interacted. Midori said the same thing, once.
What Tetora can say for sure though, is that Midori is someone whom he trusts wholeheartedly. They're unitmates, sure. They're classmates, sure. But when it comes down to it, Midori is his best friend. As a result, when Midori is spouting some bullshit that's completely uncalled for, Tetora will call him out for it, and he knows Midori would do the same if the roles were reversed — because they trust each other. When they refuse to talk to one another, and the mood goes sour, they know they will bounce back from it — because they trust each other. Fate is a strange thing, truly, bringing two unlikely people together in unlikely circumstances.
