Summary
Marinette is not supposed to be his holder. Plagg was painfully aware of this. He was aware when he saw the child create clothes and creatures and patterns. He was aware when he saw Marinette's luck manifest itself in Nathaniel's friendship and the Guardian Tome.
Plagg was supportive of his holder. He was, truly. He cheered for her successes, mourned for her failures, and encouraged Marinette into becoming the best she could possibly be.
But the Tome made Plagg afraid. He flickered more often, tense and on edge. What did the Guardians say about him? Did they call him a beast, a creature of pure evil, a Demon? A force of nature that had no potential to be good or pure, leading to nothing but corruption, destruction, and death. Who knows how much the Guardians added to the story? How much got embellished or twisted?
Still, Plagg watched as Marinette slowly translated the Tome, black mist flickering.

Renee says I should start a diary about my life since Marinette kept a diary...that I should "put down my deepest thoughts in the safety of knowing that only I can read them," or so she said to encourage me. She knows I'll end up sharing it with her even though she won't ask what I write.
Anyway, I guess the first thing I should write is what has been weighing on me this Christmas as I reflect on the past: you never truly know what you have or what you love until it is gone...especially when you lose it without warning.

Side Note: This will, eventually, be a novel, so I will be adding to it little by little. But, I am in college, so life be a little busy right now, so progress will be slow during the school year while probably speeding up a little over holidays and breaks. I hope that when I am finished with this, it will be very good and enjoyable! (But a disclaimer, the graphic depictions of violence warning that I put at the top is very much real, so do read at your own discretion. Some scenes do get a little dicy, starting in Chapter 6, "The Story of Pere Rafael.")
