Rin is flushed. It's the alcohol. Motomi hasn't seen him drunk many times before, but that's what this is. He's slurring his words slightly, and is acting maybe slightly meaner than usual. But this is Rin. This is what he's like. Over the months they've known each other, Motomi knows this to be true. He feels like he understands Rin, despite their age difference. Or maybe because of it, in a weird way. Rin is younger than his own son would've been, at this point, but it feels like, in another life, maybe they could have been related. Maybe. Or something... maybe that's not quite right...
"We indirectly kissed," Rin says, looking... Proud of himself? But also a little embarrassed?

It's bad enough luck for Motomi to be the person the overlord of the city he must reside in hates more than anyone else, but Motomi deliberately doing things to piss him off certainly isn't helping things. When Arbitro finds out about his little business deal with Rin, it's not hard to plan out a scenario designed to evoke the exact same despair in Motomi he once dealt him.
