As Logan thought it would go as it would always go, he meets the duke. The two bond as friends as the ball goes and the two watch the drunken chaos and the stars. But once Remus is told to leave, he and Logan make a promise to always find a way to see each other no matter what happens. But each time they visit each other they both fall in love with each other a bit more each time.

Amsterdam, 2053.
'Anything to make life more convenient', is this century's motto. Human-like androids are one such commodity that have since become a mundanity.
Formerly a noteworthy detective among his peers, Janus Poortman had not been one to keep up with the world's pace. Detached and cynical, Janus gets paired up with a remarkable prototype developed by leading robotics company CyberLife.
'Logan', this investigator android is called. Intelligent, analytical, calculating, superhumanly agile. Or: a plastic powerhouse, Janus prefers to call him.
Their assigned mission: investigate the rising number of cases involving aggressive and even deadly deviant behavior in androids.
Models such as 'Patton', a housekeeper android caught in the middle of a serious domestic dispute.
Or 'Roman', an unregistered model, seen involved with illegal practices according to witness accounts.
As their lives connect, both androids and humans are forced to choose their purpose. Do they crave intelligence to understand, or the bravery to care and protect, or the consciousness to reflect on what they're capable of?

Patton encounters an old friend (whether he likes it or not) and is forced to revisit what their relationship was and why it fell apart.
Also some weird magic qualities are there.This was written in 2015/2016 based on a nightmare I had and I wanted to give it a happy ending for closure (as it had to do with a real-life friendship I had where I didn't get that closure). I wanted to share it so I changed the characters' names to fit the fandom (I think they work for the characters themselves as well) and rewrote the story a bit so that it's hopefully a bit better than it was when I wrote it when I was 16. :)
