Summary
An abandoned pikachu, willing to show its power while unwilling to truly trust humans. The new cerulean gym leader, enthusiasm quickly dulled by the organization's connections to a criminal group, though still with hope of doing something against them. Various other gym leaders, each with their own backgrounds and perspectives that stop them from acting, including a teen boy overwhelmed by heavy responsibilities. The leader and various members of Team Rocket, driven by their own stories and intentions, set on their goals including gaining power, eventual world domination.
It's a perfect storm when the conflict is brought out into the open, the axis being a boy now training said pikachu who otherwise seems to be yet another commonplace new trainer wanting to enter the league. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Summary
Butch and Cassidy are staging another high profile Pokémon heist. A novice trainer tries to intervene and is beaten soundly. Not taking well to being subdued, though, she begins to struggle, cry, and distract the Rockets. Cassidy decides to take her in the back room for a little "chat."
