“We finished your list, we don't have to follow what it says anymore. So let's travel around, take our time, see the sights.”
Bruce’s fingers still. His deep breath is warm against Minhkhoa's shoulder.
“I have to go back to Gotham,” he says, carefully.
Minhkhoa exhales just as carefully, trying not to tense. It will do him no good to start an argument right now.

Where in,
Bruce, who to the honor of his late father took to being a renouned doctor founding many hospitals and clinics, receeds into obscurity after the death of his last close family member, a butler who raised him after the death of his parents. Months later finds Bruce on a beach house in a small island town somewhere in the europes. He stays far from the small town, only ever venturing for food and such, and lives on his private beach. He often takes his boat out to open ocean and spends hours watching the waves and sketching. It here he sees his first glimps of them.
A mermaid springs from the water, splattering droplets as his breaks the surface tension, and lands smack in bruces little yacht. Only, it looks more like a lad then a maiden and more like child then either and oh fuck, he choking on fishing net.
Or where Bruce wishes the universe, and the lovely ghost of his parents, would very kindly stop dropping ocean children on his front door and the secrets of his beach that he was not curious about at his back door. They make no plans to listen to his silly lil request.

It’s difficult to believe himself. Perhaps the only thing stronger than Bruce’s connection and history with Khoa is his capacity for self-doubt.
He hopes, desperately, that he’s right. If someone did hurt Khoa, he would not be able to get revenge on them in the way they would deserve. In the form of vengeance Khoa deserved. The vengeance Bruce knows he would want. Bruce was tired of disappointing those he loved.
“Damn. I did the two-thirds rule, but there’s no sex,” Khoa says with a sigh, closing the book.
khoa spends the night in one of bruce's safehouses and bruce mistakes himself for a threat.

As I don't have any particular gift for storytelling regarding the headcanons I have for each character (initially focusing on the Batman ships and other DC characters), I decided to share them to find others who might be interested and to discuss and delve deeper into these headcanons. The best way I found to do this is by not only relate them to a story and background context but also connecting them to some of Taylor Swift’s songs, which I consider the greatest storytelling I know.

Bruce shakes his head, gulping a mouthful, the burn down his throat making him shudder a bit. "I can drink anything."
"Right, right, I forgot."
"Why are you making me drink?"
"Noticed you're stressed and tense. I got your favorites in the back, so let's get you relaxed so it would be easier to get inside."
