Ann watches in stunned silence as the photographers gush over her, praising not just the hair but the outfit Mika threw together today, a pretty red number that is quite different from her usual blues and other cool tones, and even her makeup, which to Ann’s eye doesn’t look any different from usual, but hey. What does she know? She knew what was happening the moment she arrived and saw Mika’s hairstyle, but as she gawks, the other woman turns, brown eyes creasing at the edges with a tiny, knowing smirk. Then she’s back to the photographers, beaming like nothing happened.
“Akira,” Ann says, finally, at a loss. “I’m not crazy, right? She’s totally…”
Akira cups his chin in his hand and confirms, “She’s definitely copying you.” One of his eyebrows raises and he adds, “She looks pretty good in red.”
And she does, is the thing.

Goro Akechi’s life was never the same once his mother died. He learnt on that day that the universe was cruel. While he may have lost the people he cared about the most that day, he soon gained the ability to exact revenge on the person who caused it.
But his plans are derailed when a strange phantom suggests a better way to get what he wants, and he’s still struggling to understand how singing lessons will get him what he wants. But the flowers keep appearing, and so do the thoughts of his mother and the childhood friend he never got to say goodbye to.
The universe never stops being cruel to him as his old childhood friend reappears in his life again, and of course, he intends to stay around, causing all of his repressed emotions to bubble up to the surface once more.
Could something good come from this? Does he even deserve to hope for something good to come of this? How can he when he always feels two sets of eyes on him?
Is it possible for him to experience genuine happiness, or will his hidden secrets prevent him from pursuing it?
But doesn't everyone have secrets that hide from their loved ones?
