Summary
Sam and Dean were little Merkids when a shark attacked Sam. Dean' sacrifice gave Sam a chance to escape. 200 yrs pass and Sam grew to be a Sea giant, but never forgot his older brother. Sometimes he would feel this pull back to that awful place. Ignoring it every time until it would vanish decades later, only to return after 9 months.
But it was never this strong. He'd sworn never to go back, but the itch under his skin made him.
Sam saw something up above and swam hard. Heart racing, fins straining towards it, the pull feeling like home. The dot grew in size until he was right under the floating thing that was only a little larger than his hands. Sam pulled it down for a better look but discarded the strange driftwood because he was still drawn to the surface. A small two tailed creature was crying out for help and trying to swim away from him. Sam gasped at the tiny being, and needed to know what it was. It wasn't able to swim very well so he reached up again and carefully wrapped his huge clawed fingers around the tiny struggling thing, pulling it underwater and staring at it in amazement.
He thought he'd never see his brother Dean again.
Sam held him tight and wouldn't ever let him go. -

Summary
Dean's a mer-dude (shut up, Sam, that's totally a word) who lives on the edge of the reef, far away from the mer-colony. He's not lonely: the hunting's better, he doesn't end up confused by anyone else's echolocating song, and he's got the cutest little clutch of clownfish as watch-fish for his ledge.
And he's got Cas. Who might not be a mer, but he's something even better: a cecaelia, with eight clever octopus legs and an obsession with making sure that Dean gets to try all the treats the reef can offer.
(Dean pays him back by teaching him to kiss. Cas never fails to collect.)
Bobby claims that cecaelias don't mate. That they don't bond. That they don't form families. But that old sand dollar can mind his own business: Cas and Dean are just having a good time and clouding up the water together, after all.
Right?

Summary
It was just another job. Granted, not all of them were the same. Some days they raided, others they destroyed. Today was a simple infiltrate, rescue, escape.
They've done this before. Not always without injury or complications, but they have. A curious and insistent mer has never been an issue.
There's a first time for everything.

Summary
As a pirate, one must never let their heart rule their head when it comes to bounty. Nor should it interfere with their loyalty to crew and captain.
Both of these points are strained when Castiel Novak comes face to face with a real, live merman, one who is surely destined to be sold off to a fate worse than death.
Castiel could ignore his heart. He could ignore how wrong the situation is. He could carry on with duty and debt, and nothing else.
But then again, who would he be if he did?

Summary
Drained by his job and slowly going stir-crazy in the lockdown, Crowley decides to take a road trip to the coast. Among the subtle waves of the distant shore, he has an encounter that might as well be a dream, but it feels so damn good to meet someone you don't have to stay six feet away from, and whose lips aren't hidden behind a mask.

Summary
“You can stand up, you know. You’re not going to fall in.” Balthazar said.
Castiel stood up on the boat carefully and peered over the side. The waves lapped gently against metal, and if Castiel focused enough he could discern the small, silver flashes of fish darting around.
Castiel leaned closer to the water, fascinated.
A sudden and hard shove against his back had him toppling over the side of the boat and into the water with a shout.
Water filled all of Castiel’s senses, making him flounder around in a panic. He breached the surface, gasping for breath.
Balthazar’s booming laugh filled his ears. Castiel would have been fuming if he wasn’t so terrified.
“Balth!” He yelled desperately. “Help me up!”
“Cassie, chill out for five seconds and enjoy the water.” Balthazar responded. “Nothing’s going to eat you.”
Castiel tried to calm himself. The waves were very still and the water was a gorgeous blue. He glanced down, wondering if the water was clear enough for him to see his limbs beneath the surface.
Two eyes blinked up at him.
In which Dean is a very curious mermaid who insists on inspecting Castiel's legs.

Summary
Series

Summary
Castiel doesn’t exactly believe in fantasy. He knows unicorns aren’t real, that magic only exists in fairy tales, and as fascinating as the old myths are to someone working as a marine veterinarian, there’s no way mermaids exist. Real life half-fish people? That’s ridiculous.
Or so he thinks, until one day he ends up finding a wounded creature on the beach close to his home. Now he’s got to prepare himself to accept that the depths of the ocean may hold more than injured marine animals and friendly sea lions named Meg after all.

Summary
There is no green below him, only endless blue. The sea comes closer, yet he does not stop. He lets out a shout of delight as he sees a splash, shimmering scales treading beneath the surface. With ease he snaps his wings open, the wind catching in his feathers keeping him steady in the air. His fingers skim the cool water before he thrusts his wings to take him higher. A creature shatters through the surface, green tail glinting in the sunlight. Castiel dodges the attempt to catch him, laughing as he loops down low as soon as the tail fin disappears underneath the water. And so begins their game of cat and mouse as they make their way to the small island they have begun to call their own.
