So no, he didn't get up from Zhongli's lap. He just let the tears flow, and flow, and flow. Even the Tsaritsa couldn't make a bigger storm then him.
OR: Childe's gloves have more impact on him then he thought.

Childe like to drown his feeling. Literally.
After Osial, he frequently goes to lakes, usually Luhua Pool. Making sure no one is around before stepping into the water. He'll float a bit before taking a deep breath and let himself sink.
Before, back in the abyss, inside the water is where he feels most safe, apart from his Master's side.
But here in Liyue, there’s no Master.
It aches something terrible in Ajax's chest, because Liyue used to be warm. It almost feels like home.
But no more.
So he returns to the water, where it feels more safe, much like a creature of the depth he truly is inside.
When he emerges, everything will be muffled either from lack of oxygen or the after-effect of the underwater silence. There'll be dizziness, but it is worth it for the few moments in which he becomes one with hydro. Free from thoughts of his mission, about Zhongli, about Liyue.
But of course, nothing lasts. Not for him. Ajax is never that lucky.
One of Zhongli's Adepti saw him.

Idk where this came from but this is inspired by Sleep Token’s Blood Sport. After their Wembly Concert that song just hits different, ifykyk. I felt particular mischievous when writing this and said “haha i wanna make people cry” so lmk if it works and I’m open to ideas to make more people cry.
This is a 180 to the normal spicy stuff I write every now and then but I enjoy being an emotional writer. Preferably I’d like people to go in with little info as possible so it hits as hard as I want it to but ofc there’s Trigger Warnings so I want people to stay safe above all else. There is a LOT of blood and it’s a bit gruesome so read at your own risk.
If this does make a lot of people cry I’ll make it up to you guys with a fluffy chapter when my procrastination doesn’t have me in a chokehold (see what I did there? 🥁) Lmao ok ok, there’s not much else so please enjoy ❤️

When the rest of the Harbingers learn of Tartaglia’s false imprisonment and disappearance, Tsaritsa decides to send the Knave out to Fontaine in disguise as a diplomat and try to find out where the 11th is. Capitano finds himself deeply worried. Weeks, to a month to a total of two months pass until the 11th is found near the capital of Snezhnaya, deep within the woods, traces of abyss found around him.
He keeps on thinking, drowning in many thoughts and questions, why was he falsely imprisoned? Why was his vision not on him? Where was he the whole two months? Why does something feel off about him?
Once the 11th finally awakens, he stays by his side and informs him of what went on for the past few months he was gone and asleep.

Childe lived peacefully with his younger siblings: Tonia, Anton and Teucer, in Shneznaya. They didn't live like this before, they were once a complete family. When his wife died, Childe's father left them to fend for themselves and left them. Childe begged him not to go or take him or his siblings with, for them to have a better life.
The only thing I remember is that he had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen, an amber that was so deep, I couldn't see it through the tears. In every dream, there would be this mysterious man that appears every once in a while, He had long perfect black hair with orange tips, beautiful eyes that looks at Childe so..lovingly?
Childe's heart would always skip a beat. His dreams made it seem like he was talking to a real person and not someone figmented from his imagination. He adored 'spending time' with this mysterious man and cherished every passing moment with him, Regardless of whether it is only a dream. As the dreams keep appearing he notices it never takes place in Shneznaya, Rather it always takes place at the nation of Liyue.
