He's known the Hermits ever since he was a teenager. Most have only known him since he joined back in the 6th world. He was about to meet them for the first time. He was about to meet them during a time that brought him a lot of pain and suffering. A time that he saved himself from his past. The Hermits were the first people in a long, long time who cared for and helped Grian back in his high school days. Not that they would know or remember.
