    What remained was small, insignificant even, in light of his master’s death.

    The newly knighted Jedi asked himself, How could an existence like Master Qui-Gon’s be boiled down to a simple tea set?

    His ray of hope had been Qui-Gon Jinn. He had been thirteen when the bearded man had taken him in, slowly breaking down the walls Obi-Wan had carefully constructed around himself.

    And Anakin deserved it too. No matter what it cost.
