Summary
This is a two-part story... the first part takes place before Order 66 and includes a bit of a love triangle between Rex, Fives, and Ahsoka. The second part takes place right after Padme's funeral and is basically how Rex's clone rebellion takes form with Ahsoka by his side. I do my best to align it to the canonical plot, but obviously there are some differences. This is overall a Rexsoka fic but also very much a fic about the clones getting the justice they deserve! It's not a fix it fic but more of a closure fic! Plenty of clone and Bad Batch content, especially in Part 2. Enjoy!

He saw the death of the closest person he had left. Echo was afraid of the upcoming mission and was unable to erase the vision of losing his brother from his memory. Only the presence of his beloved twin can calm his racing thoughts. Fives does everything he can to make Echo feel better.

It's been four months since Echo and Fives were inducted into the 501st. In that time, Kix has heard bits and pieces about what happened to their Kamino squad. He's never asked them about the details, though. ‘Fallen brothers’ isn’t a topic one casually brings up in everyday conversation, after all. Thank goodness this isn't going to be an everyday conversation.
Or: Kix takes it upon himself to look out for more than just the physical well-being of his new company members. He brings Jesse along for the ride.

This one-shot is derived from one of the chapters in my long fic, 'More Than Empty Servitude.' This version, however, has been adapted to be from Kix's POV. It was a fun challenge to portray the same story in a different way, and I really love how it turned out! Kix is suuuch an underrated character.

Domino squad, among several other squads of cadets are on one of their off-planet training missions. Their squad, among several of them were informed of the mission parameters, survive as a whole squad from this drop point to the next drop point and get to it within several weeks. This planet that they had been dropped off on was in its winter phase of its weather cycle, at least for this part of the planet and in order to succeed in this training they need to, as a squad, survive a few weeks in the snow and ice, as well as get to the second drop point. This is Domino squads first interaction with Snow.

Because not a single word, expression or touch will bring Echo back. Empty condolences are useless. He doesn’t need to be coddled or sympathized with. So I've always felt its safe to assume that most of the clones in the 501st Legion, or at the very least Torrent Company, were close to each other, even if we never saw them interact on screen. Because Fives is close to Jesse, Hardcase, and Kix, I figured why wouldn't Echo as well? And how would he react after learning that they died, and he had no idea about it?
