The year is 2009, Sonetto’s second year as an undergraduate student at St. Pavlov Academy. She has straight hair, scores straight As, and follows a straightforward roadmap for her academic life. It’s meticulous work, but she always puts a particular effort into everything she does, except maybe her social relations.
Vertin was a long-time friend from secondary school, but one she only knew for a brief two years. It wasn’t until halfway through her first year that Sonetto realised she was back. She grew taller, let her hair fall, wore a fancy vest, and kept a golden timekeeper she always checked. The years apart gave her an allure of intrigue. Yet, she still possessed a familiarity that told Sonetto she remembered their time.
This year, Sonetto decides to get answers to where Vertin went and why she’s returned, until Schneider snatches Vertin’s time away, complicating the calculated girl’s plans. Who is she, and why do Vertin’s eyes look upon her with longing and sorrow? What will Sonetto uncover by stepping into Vertin’s world and unravelling the mysteries behind their lost time?

“It makes me happy to know that you still remember me,” the Timekeeper calmly says, pulling a gun from her holster and pointing it at Arcana. “Lady Arcana, I have come to kill you.”
She recognizes the gun. A loving rendition of the Colt M1911, modified by the finest wandmaker Manus Vindictae once had among them. She needs no more explanation then.
“First love must have touched thy tongue with honey to beget thee to grasp on thine vengeance with such ardor, Lady Vertin,” she mocks.
The Timekeeper pays her words no mind and places a finger on the trigger. “Any last words?”
Arcana approaches the oak table near her. She places the glass gently on the surface in a languid motion. She says in jest, “I require a moment’s reprieve.”
