“And because you and that person were both running late, you two ended up accidentally switching textbooks.” Bless Mathilda for being ever patient and understanding of her, Floryn wouldn’t have known what to do otherwise and wouldn’t have anyone to talk to regarding the events.
Mathilda reaches up absentmindedly at this and fixes her headband. She stares at Floryn in the eye in silence, then says.” And afterwards, on the way home, some creepy dude wouldn’t leave you alone and the very same girl you bumped into saved you?”
“Well…” Floryn stretches the word out, unable to help the sheepish smile stretching across her lips as she recalls the event.

His sapphire eyes continue quietly staring into hers for a moment longer, before slowly lowering to his own abdomen, softly rising and falling alongside each breath he took. Xavier supposes he shouldn't be surprised, his last heat did end up falling right in-between Fredrinn's rut after all. It wasn't the first time their cycles had synched, though this result certainly was a first. His hands don't move an inch, but his fists do end up slightly clenching.
"I see." That's all Xavier says, and Mathilda's smile quickly falters seeing the man isn't sharing her excitement over the news.
