It's Kaveh's last semester of grad school and his days are filled with lectures, thesis prep, and working on the class he's co-teaching with Alhaitham, who never fails to annoy him. When one of their students, Collei, asks them to be in the wedding she is planning for Cyno and Tighnari, Kaveh can't help but jump in feet first, regardless of how that affects himself or his co-teacher.

Killed by a Karen, Vyn is content with the life they lived, even if it was short. Deciding that the afterlife they want is just a nice long nap, that's what Vyn gets.
Until a bunch of King Deshret's extremist followers try to resurrect him and Vyn gets trapped in the "sacrifice's" body.
Really, they couldn't summon the right soul?Kaveh would like to say that this is in no way his fault.
He was just going out to meet a client and got jumped, kidnapped, drugged, and then used as an attempted sacrifice, only to survive and have his body momentarily hijacked by the soul pulled out of the afterlife.
But, hey, he's alive. Stuck with Vyn in his head, but alive nonetheless.

Go ahead, Tighnari gestures, feeling a little lost. Because as much as he can relate to the protectiveness and failure Razor must be feeling right now, he also knows his instincts tend to set him to the extreme in similar scenarios. He doubts that would help at the moment. Yes, he’d show Razor he’s not alone but Tighnari hasn’t actually found a good way to navigate it yet.
