Summary
Marc and Marinette are cousins.
They were raised together in a hidden nation named Moreé that trains children to be respectful protectors, using tools like weapons and advancements such as magic.
They both ascended into being two new gods over the nation as children. The two were granted the responsibility to watch over the city with 1,000 curses, Paris.
The two sent off to Paris with their respective families and settled in well, waiting for the day the curses began.
They went years living as regular kids going to school until finally the first curse appeared: Hawkmoth. Marinette was given the Ladybug miraculous by Master Fu and kept it a secret from everyone besides Marc.
While Ladybug fights on the frontlines with Cat Noir, Marc works in the background, gathering whatever clues he can.
They do all this while juggling the life of regular teenagers.

Marc Anciel isn't allowed to have coffee. For one thing, caffeine worsens his anxiety and secondly, during the few times Marc sneaks some coffee, he tends to become a bit...eccentric. That was a fact that everyone at Collège Françoise Dupont knew perfectly well from experience, or at least almost everyone. Somehow while trying to keep up with the pressures of schoolwork, working on the Ladybug and Chat Noir comics, and coming up with new Adrienette plans to help his friends FINALLY become a couple, Marc got his hands on some coffee. Chaos ensues and may the universe have mercy on all of those poor unfortunate students at Collège Françoise Dupont.

Marinette wasn't quite sure what to make of her life when she found she was, yes, a witch and that she would attend Hogwarts, the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. And it's not bad at all! She made tons of friends and learned many things.
What she also didn't expect was having to choose between the Beauxbatons Extraordinaire, Chloé Bourgeois, or Durmstrang Quidditch Star Player, Tsurugi Kagami. And with the inclusion of the Triwizard Tournament, things got a little more complicated. Well, it's not like she has to choose, right? Marinette has two hands after all. If only Chloe and Kagami could see that.
At least she still have her pen pal from Ilvermorny.

Nathaniel was pretty sure that he was nothing special, sure, he had better-than-average drawing skills and he somehow managed to have the misfortune to go to school with the mayor's daughter but that didn't mean much. Though when a pair of magical earrings magically make their way into his room that comes free with a magic bug thing, the universe is probably giving some sort of sign. At least he was fortunate enough not to have to go at it alone, Wild Cat was amazing enough to be there with him, fighting alongside him. Wild Cat understood and maybe being a hero wouldn't be such a bad thing after all.
Marc was often told that he was special, that he had a great mind and shouldn't waste it. He never had many friends but he always had family, his sister and cousin always more than willing to lend a helping hand. It seemed that the world only wanted to reinforce the idea that he was special when he got a ring that granted superpowers, but still wanted to screw him over when the Kwami that came with just sent him in blind. Luckily there was Fortuno, who was so confident and by far knew a lot more than Marc did. As long as he and Fortuno could stand together, maybe the school year wouldn't be as bad as he thought.
