Summary
Fate is a fickle thing. You know who you're destined to meet but you'll never truly know how or why until it happens.
Such is the fate of Lu Ten and Zhao. Meeting as mere cadets at 14 and 16, the two have no idea what influences their lives may have on the world. The son of the crown prince, gifted in not just ability but spirituality, welcomes Zhao. He believes he is the Sun and Zhao is his reflecting Moon. Though, he has no clue what resentments the older boy seems to be carrying within himself.
One man trusting in the spirits and one man destined to eventually hunt them continuously circle each other until one's light is finally extinguished. What is waiting for them when they are 24 and 26 in ten years time?

It also goes like this: Lu Ten is fifteen and all of a sudden his best friend is running away from him. He was just trying to help, even if the thought of him one day marrying a noblewoman made his stomach churn. He deserved only the best after all.

That summer there was a heat so strong, it lead to what the Fire Sages called "The Great Delirium". Zhao wished he could blame what happened on the event.
The outer wall of Ba Sing Se had fallen at the start of the Fall season and Lu Ten fell at the end of it.
Zhao invaded the Norther Water Tribe at the tail end of winter. Lu Ten's birthday would be in a few months.
