Leiko had always believed that she would never find her soulmate. Her mark never had any importance, not in her family. Her mother never married her soulmate, and her father left to pursue his. He had been the only one to encourage her endeavors in trying to find her soulmate. Her sisters, Karmi, Livianne, and Diane, wouldn’t understand her want in finding them. Karmi was too young to receive her soulmark, as it arrived at 14, and Diane and Livianna had no desire to find their soulmates. Despite her social and royal status, she never cared much for royal meetings or marriages. Her sisters managed to pursue their own careers, and she wished to do the same.
When she met 16 year old Hiro Hamada and 19 year old Tadashi Hamada, her life seemed as if it was flipped upside down, but she couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that ate at her bones.

Summary
Defeating Obake is the conclusion to phase 1 of the Big Heroverse, and marks the beginning of phase 2, which is usually when things become way bigger than before. Big Hero 6 have decided to give their super suits upgrades in order to take on villains more effectively, while some of them found opportunities to gain work experience. However, as bioengineered monsters started appearing in San Fransokyo at the same time, the heroes have no choice but to take on this harrowing new challenge. Especially Gogo, who finds herself in a difficult situation in the midst of the plot which puts her double life as a superhero, as well as her sense of judgement on the line.

Howevers, 10 years later, a 26-year Karmi returns to SFIT as the new Professor of Biotechnology, finding the man who was once the boy that was her friend and rival to have changed beyond her wildest imaginations, and set on destroying the past that haunts them both.
