It seems they're growing up... note the changed rating!

Also, a brief note about The Brave Soldier and the Princess, aka the piece of fic that started this whole crazy carousel in motion. It was supposed to be a one-off, and I did only the most cursory research. Those eagle-eyed Tolkien scholars (and I’m sure there are so many reading this satyr-dwarf/hobbit romantic kidfic au) will have spotted that the hobbits in the opening scene of this series would have been about 12 years younger than Bilbo, who was intended to be in his early-to-mid-teens at that point anyway. SO I have gone back and re-jigged a few names, largely for my own satisfaction, and I hope no-one will mind.

Summary
Bungo Baggins has finally built his dream house, but he nearly lost his head in the process. Eight and a half years later, with no children and no neighbors, he and his wife Belladonna decide to build themselves some company. It's not long before they discover there’s slightly more company in store for them than they bargained for.
What follows is a story of nine months, three houses, two feuding fathers-in-law, and one unexpected adventure.

Summary
William "Beau" Baggins, a.k.a. Bilbo Baggins, the dandy of the Shire, is a rich, aristocratic Hobbit, and well-respected, despite being widely-travelled and wearing silk waistcoats. He has ignored all the caps set at him all these years, and chosen to bring up his orphaned niece Rose on his own. But Bilbo's comfortable existence is soon to be overturned, and he will be thrown into situations of increasing peril. Cocky Dwarrows and kidnappers are all very well, but what will Bilbo do when evil forces gather and converge on the Shire?
Is 75% fluffy and romantic, but also references serious issues such as xenophobia, racism, and a people's struggle for dignity and survival.
