A week after the apocalypse, a lonely cyclops gets a shot at making it out of the void- again. This time, though, with no Elmore to return to, he hitches a ride on a familiar red van to an unfamiliar dimension. This will be a new start, he decides, not knowing where the future (or rather the past) will lead him.
As it turns out, it'll lead him into a role as part of an odd duo.
~A strange crossover story with a focus on Rob (who's just trying to get through each day) and Sarah (who has her own plans), plus the Awesome Store proprietor is there as a sort of tough-love not-so-kindly mentor figure/plot device (more on that later).
Expect medium/story awareness, relatively episodic chapters, wacky hijinks, short cameos from a wide range of characters, and a 70/30 focus on Gumball stuff as opposed to GF stuff, for now, all wrapped up in a premise that- if I'm doing my job right- works better than it ought to.

After making sure no one else was in line to get their groceries checked out, which currently, the time was 5 pm- almost time to move on to the evening shift at the pizza place that Larry could hardly even remember the name of, he focused his attention back onto his finger, which was starting to turn red. He frowned and went to the break room to find himself something to cure this mishap with.
That exact moment was when across town at Elmore Junior High, Mr. Steve Small noticed a little pink and red toned marigold sitting on the upper side of his index finger.
