The Museum of Natural History's inhabitants wake up one day to find they have been transported back to their historical time period. They are scattered across time, stuck by themselves in anywhere from the Old West to Ancient Rome.
Entirely alone for the first time, everyone scrambles to simultaneously keep a level head in this familiar yet foreign territory and try and find a way back to the modern day.As one can expect, there are some challenges.

Larry Daley knew the exhibits of the museum very well; but he was positive he did not know the cat sitting in front of him.
A small new shipment of exhibits arrive at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. Among them is a cat, thousands of years older than *almost* everything else in the museum. The determined little creature is a familiar, and dearly missed, face to a certain young Pharaoh who hasn't seen his cat since 1938; and thought he never would again.
Or; Ahkmenrah's cat, who was separated from him when the tomb was raided in the 1930s, shows up at the museum.
