Well, it wasn't like Kuwabara could relate to being dead and horny but when Urameshi put it that way, it made him sad to know that someone died at such a young age and had nothing else good in life to miss aside from getting off. He never met him before, he didn't even know how he looked like, but if having a dick and feeling it too made a dead boy feel alive one last time then Kuwabara could understand how important one last nut must be especially to a teenager who didn't even experience enough of life.
(Or alternate universe where Yusuke and Kazuma were not rivals and their first meeting was when Yusuke possessed him as a ghost to jerk off for the last time before "ascending to heaven")

Kuwabara knows he belongs in Ningenkai. The difficult part was accepting that Yusuke didn't. He thought he'd gotten over it for the most part, but when his estranged father tries to recruit him for some sort of mission to stop humans from sabotaging peace talks between Makai and Ningenkai, he finds he can't tell the guy to take a hike. Because even after years apart, doing their own thing, Kuwabara still goes running after Yusuke the first chance he gets.
Yusuke can't wait to go home, see the people he left behind. Until Kuwabara ends up in Makai unprompted, and unwilling to talk to him. Yusuke figures he'll just have to buckle down and be the one to chase after Kuwabara this time.

There could be a number of reasons why Kurama did not recognize them. Kuwabara went for the easiest explanation that did not betray his trust in the fox. It was just like the psychic to remain faithful to Kurama no matter how the fox antagonized them. But Hiei recognized the difference in Kurama's youki. It was the same spiritual signature but the intensity of it was different. And Kurama in his current incarnation had long passed this level of power from his past self.
(Or Team Urameshi find themselves stuck in the past where they confront a familiar stranger wearing the face of their beloved fox)
