Shin could see Kanna had tried her best. She wasn’t an artist, but damn if she didn’t try harder than anyone Shin personally knew.     Funnily enough, fear was a most intriguing emotion.

    They say love can move mountains and that hate can move the world. It's no wonder, they're similar emotions, after all.

    Fear, however, was its own spectrum.

    Fear may not move mountains or worlds, but it sure moved humans to make drastic decisions to fulfill its sake. Moved them to bend to its will. Be it doing the impossible to survive, or taking a bet that it would most certainly not be in their favor. It could change anyone entirely depending on how much they were exposed to it.

    Sara was afraid. Afraid enough to do whatever it took to survive the Death Game she had been thrown into.

    Or: A rewrite of the Canon, an AU with different survivors from the First Trial and Sara and Joe sticking together and trying not to die.
