Seungmin is unsure if that outcome is worse than if he had refused it.
“So,” Chan says, attempting to diffuse the tension, “Where is everyone trying to go?”
Seungmin meets an interesting group of strangers at the airport on Christmas Eve — one of which he finds much more intriguing than the rest.

His new roommate is arriving today. The board says they’ll have to discipline him somehow — whether it be by kicking him out of his own dorm, or expelling him from the entire campus, or something else he can’t think of — if he ends up driving this one away too, so Minho hopes this one sticks around. And if he ends up leaving like the other six before him, well, that’s okay with Minho too.
Whether it be walking out, or staying behind, or just straight-up dying, Minho is used to it. It’s a part of life, or whatever.
But he has just a bit too much pride to be kicked out and subjected to begging on the streets because he has nobody who would take him in, so he hopes this roommate sticks around. At least long enough for the board to get off his case.
The doorbell rings. That must be him. Minho pushes himself off the couch to open the door.
What greets him is a tall boy with a box, braces shining as he flashes a smile. “Hi,” he says brightly. “I’m Kim Seungmin.”
