“Imari-senpai?” Asahi’s eyes flicker to Imari who was standing in line in the corner of the cafeteria, still waiting to get his food. He blinks before he proceeds to drink from his water bottle. “Touchy... I don’t think so?”
“Hmm... When we first joined the club, he kept a good distance but it seems like he got soft with you even if you’re a new member.” Botan rests her chin on her palm. “Nothing, I just think of it as unusual for him but he is a man of actions rather than words.”
Well, Asahi did first think of Imari as someone... distant. Someone who isn’t that outgoing or chooses to spend his time alone. Sometimes, he does get intimidated by Imari whenever he tries to approach for some tips to get his acting right but all in all, Asahi sees his senpai as a good person who just leans on the reserved side of the spectrum.
But now that Botan said he was actually touchy when it comes to him... He never noticed.

“You’re a bit too warm,” Imari comments unhelpfully, his fingers trailing up to Asahi’s forehead as his brows are furrowing in concern. The urge to self-destruct right now for Asahi is unreal. “You’re kind of red too. Let’s get out of here.”
Asahi startles but stops himself, not wanting to worry the elder boy any further. “Senpai, I’m fine, really—“
Imari’s gaze turns oddly serious. “Does this happen to you often?”
“...You’re talking about that time?” Asahi blinks, recalling that time he almost experienced a full-fledged panic attack on the train to school. If Imari weren’t there, he wouldn’t dare think about what might become of him that day.
He remembers. He’s worried about me.
“Senpai, I’m okay this time,” Asahi says and scratches his nape. “…I just embarrassed myself in front of a stranger, that’s all.”

“What favor, my lord?” Asahi looks at his script. “What must be on your m-mind?”Imari hums, like in the script, but he has already memorized all of his lines that he didn’t need a script assisting him. It saved him the trouble of reading the highlighted lines on his notebook back and forth. “I want you to sign a contract.”
Apart from that, he has the liberty to take in all of Asahi now that he’s close. Asahi is so small compared to him and the way he was avoiding eye contact with that blush is making Imari unsure if he was doing it because Imari dislikes being looked at... or another reason entirely. “ A contract between us.”
