Summary
Some people are born to be on horseback, and Coralee Dutton is one of them. She's John Dutton's favorite niece, the daughter of his older brother. She shows horses and is about to go on the pro circuit and John feels she needs a better horse. He calls his friend and horse trader Travis to bring a few horses so she can pick the one she wants. It is going to be expensive, but John is helping her make an investment.
Coralee gets along well with her cousins, except for Beth. The fact that she is younger and prettier does not help, her Uncle John frequently compares her to tragic cousin Elsa Dutton and Beth is tired of it. Beth has a drinking problem and is unstable, and Coralee knows she can't be trusted.
It's Coralee's birthday and Beth has been drinking for most of the day. She resents John purchasing the horse and would pick a fight with Coralee over it, only it's one she knows she would not win.
Travis has watched Coralee grow up and at 24 she is pretty and knowledgeable about horses. He's a rogue and a rake, but looking at Coralee all grown up he is thinking about changing his ways.

Basically short stories for Yellowstone about their upbringing on the ranch since Taylor Sheridan created complex characters and did absolutely nothing with them for practically all five seasons besides swear and make the same mistakes every season. So I’m fixing it while attempting to keep everything as canon accurate as possible! :)
(I’m sorry. The core of this show was that everyone sucks, including your family, but you’d still do anything for them because that’s loyalty. And Sheridan dropped that ball after about season three when all he did was constantly make Jamie the worst character ever and project Beth as this martyr. They both suck, imo. So let’s make them suck less and actually be the crazy siblings we’ve wanted since the beginning.)
