Yuuri agreed; his focus was shot. He shook his head a few times, then immediately had to stop when a new surge of pain reared up.
“Vitya’s right, I can barely keep my eyes open,” he murmured, trying to sound less irritated. “One of you will have to just tell me what's going on.”
Though it wasn’t what he’d expected, the answering reply made the raw, ragged edges of his worry soften slightly.
“Yusha, we’ll explain in a second, but first…can I give you a hug, or do you not want to be touched right now?”
Viktor’s impossibly blue eyes held a glint of hesitation, but even still, he looked like he really wanted to hold him. Yuuri knew that his love would respect whatever choice he made, and though a part of him bristled at both the idea of anything other than his clothes clinging to his sweaty skin, as well as the very real possibility of feeling claustrophobic amidst an impending anxiety attack, an even larger part craved the comfort.
