Summary
What transpired when Sawamura Eijun woke up one day not as himself? Confronted by his dejected former self, he's resolute in aiding, but it proves challenging without his baseball career. Complicating matters, Miyuki Kazuya, the Seido team's captain and catcher, is pursuing him in the present. Carrying his 'old' self's memories, he forges a new path at Seido, striving to achieve his goals. And perhaps, just perhaps, along the way, he would uncover the truth behind why he was there. And amidst the trials and tribulations, amidst the thrill of the game and the camaraderie of teammates, he would discover that love, too, had a place in this new chapter of his life.
"It was the first time in my life I felt utterly lost and confused, like a ship adrift in a storm with no compass to guide me. I had no one to turn to, no one to confide in about this bizarre twist of fate. My average IQ wasn’t up to solving this riddle."
"One thing was clear; my life as Sawamura Eijun was over. And I had no idea how to get it back."

Summary
It's just hair.
‘But it means more than that to you. Right, Bakamura?’
Youichi exhales loudly.
"Here's what's gonna happen," Youichi says, "We're gonna do right by Sawamura this time, and we're gonna start with being better fucking people when it comes to his issue. So, let's fucking talk."
He's been thinking about what he can do to help Eijun out. When everyone else nods and scoots closer to hear what Youichi has to say, he thinks that this seems like a good place to start.
"Hair makes the man," is what Eijun hears and learns to live by growing up—"Fuck that shit," is what Youichi shouts in retaliation, Asada silently agreeing with him.
Or: Eijun is losing his hair, and with it goes the self-esteem and self-worth issues he thought he buried long ago. Asada notices everything, and with him, Youichi comes to realize it's never too late to be a better friend, roommate, teammate, and something more. As spring turns into summer, the occupants of Room 5 all come to learn that actions, no matter how small, will always speak louder than words.
And everything, as always, begins with that one single step.

Summary
At the end of training, that same batchmate declares to Wataru’s new scary coach that he was going to be ace, and Wataru is reminded strangely of superhero origin stories. Underdogs who declare their goals as they go along, some declaring them before they even start.
But maybe superhero was the wrong way to describe this Sawamura Eijun. He was human, flawed like Wataru, and so very...mortal, but so eye-catching all the same.
Maybe a simple “protagonist” would be better.
Wataru grows up liking superheroes. He knows they aren't real, but he still hopes to be something like one in the future. Then he meets Sawamura, someone close to being a hero already, but needed a hero himself.
