Kai had possibly some of the worst luck.
As if him being a college dropout earning less than minimum wage wasn't enough, he got kicked out of his apartment.
Now, he had to figure out a way to survive with what little he had before he got himself murdered in an alleyway.Or, he was about to, before he was suddenly given a golden opportunity by some mysterious, old guy with an endless tea supply.
I guess his luck isn't as terrible as he thought.
i.e. Kai moves into a shared house with 3 other guys, all of whom are hybrids, and all of whom are incredibly attractive. How exactly was he supposed to behave as a 'responsible' adult when they could have some fun?

He’s recovering from injuries from his near death after he pushed Nya away from Chen and melted the staff with his bare hands. The ninja have welcomed him to the ship, but he’s a scarred man, and doesn’t trust anyone as far as he can throw em.
