He giggled as Kabu was stroking his long hair and trying his hardest not to get lost in the seemingly endless sea of black and white strands. He keeped his focus no matter how many times the hair just ran away from him, but it was more than obvious that on the inside, he was getting quite annoyed. Only a bit, though.
“Of course I do, I thought it was quite obvious.” Piers looked back at the man handling his hair, really trying not to laugh at the situation. Not at Kabu, of course, he tried his best and he adored him for it. It was just very funny witnessing someone who had no idea how to handle his hair… well, figuring it out.
“Yes, absolutely, but still, I did not expect it to be so… thick. One of your strands probably has more single hairs than I ever did, even when I was younger.”---
Kabu's proposition to take care of Piers' hair turned up flavored both sweet and spicy, just like he liked the most with his boy by his side.

Kabu walked him to the door, and for a moment, it looked like he might say something, looking up at Piers, assessing his face. He couldn’t even begin to parse out what Kabu would find on it, too focused on getting back to the safety of his flat in Spikemuth where he could break down over how utterly stupid he felt right now for thinking he’d had a shot.
“Travel safely,” he said instead, and Piers nodded, turning away and hoping the week would do him a favor in clearing out his feelings and letting him be able to just enjoy their friendship as it was.
In the end, he lasted five days.
