Hobbling up the steps of Darktown, looking haggard and sickly, was Gideon Cousland, second son of the Highever terynr, Hero and Warden Commander of Ferelden, and Anders personal friend. He was gripping his left arm, wrapped poorly in what appeared to be blood soaked tent cloth. Anders had only ever seen him in large bulky armor and behind a shield, so being dressed down as he was now made him seem even more pathetic and helpless.
He croaked out in a dry, weary, voice, "Anders? Is that you? I finally... found you..."

The world has been changed. The consequences of my hubris (for details consult The Tale of the Champion by V. Tethras, I am still penning my version down, because due to some revolutions it was hard to do until now) have caught up with me and I've ended up exactly where I did not want to be: Knee deep in snow and end-of-the-world bullshit (again).
