Summary
It’s not Oscar’s fault, he wants to tell him as much, but physically can’t move his mouth in order to do so. His boy feels numb to the world, his surroundings–everything but Oscar himself. The feeling of fingers on him is more grounding than it should be.
He wants to bite them off.
No wait… he wants Oscar to pull his spine out otherwise he can’t be loved–
That one’s not right either.

Summary
It took him a moment to recognise what he was seeing, but he paled as he remembered when this had happened. It had been last week, his final day of fun before returning to the MTC to start prioritising the first race of the season. He and a couple friends had agreed to go out. They had arrived at the club, a place in Mayfair that Lando didn’t entirely remember the name of, and he remembered drinking quite a lot. He vaguely remembered him. He remembered when he felt arms snake around his waist, and instead of pulling away, his drunken state revelled in the contact, leaning back as he offered him a toothy grin. He had continued to dance in the embrace, head tipping back as he sang along to the music in the club. That was the last thing Lando remembered doing before the kiss.

Summary
His room was also a mess, but that mess was a normal mess from a teenage boy. It hadn't been properly cleaned for years now, candy wrappers and empty soda cans covered the ground along with dirty laundry. To Lando's credit though, he'd actually put some clothes in the laundry basket. His desk was filled with drawings and sketches, quite a few were taped to the wall, overlapping each other. The only thing in the room that was actually clean was his brother's old closet. The closet was small but big enough for Lando to cram himself into when everything got too much. He would sit on the floor, smelling his older brother's shirts until it felt like they were together again
Or,
It'd been five years since Lando's older brother left him alone with their drunken mum. Lando was sure his life couldn't get any worse as he started senior year of high school. (He was wrong)

Summary
It didn’t feel real as he drove the car home to park it in front of the P1 marker.
Lando felt as if he was in some sort of fever dream. His body almost moved on autopilot as he turned off the car and undid the belts.

Summary
As soon as Oscar hears it was Lando who had crashed during the race, he knows his evening with little Lando will not be going as he had planned. They were supposed to look at all the pretty Vegas lights together before bedtime and then have a little morning because of the late Saturday night race.
Basically Lando drops after his big Vegas crash but Papa (and Jon) make everything less scary.

Summary
I believe ignorance is pretty similar to a snowball. At first, it’s all fun and games when you’re throwing small amounts of snow at each other, but as soon as the snowballs become bigger and bigger and you’re faced with tones of snow in form of a snowball of problems, it can all go to ruins. Even worst when you’re thrown with the huge, heavy, cold snowball at your face.

Summary
Carlos is at a club when he gets the call.
He feels his phone buzzing in his pocket and without even taking it out he knows it’s Lando. They’ve made special vibration patterns for each other, his for Lando is “It’s Friday then, it’s Saturday Sunday what”. And Lando’s for him is “No need to ask, it’s a smooth operator, smooth operator”. So he leans into Charles’ space and shouts that he’s going to get some air. Charles offers to go with him, but Carlos waves him off.

It wasn’t until George, Charles and Alex cornered Lewis in Mexico City, matching expressions of concerns on their faces, that Lewis realized he should have thought to check on Lando sooner.
Sure, Lando had his team, and Jon, but…
Lewis had already known that the McLaren driver had endured a dismal qualifying after making a mistake on his only run in Q1 and failing to make it through to Q2, ending up 17th on the grid. He’d also known how frustrated Lando had been in recent weeks, struggling to reconcile his performance with perceived mistakes, while still chasing that elusive first win.
Especially after Qatar.

Summary
Lewis swore viciously as he watched Lando spin out in front of him just before Turn 12, sparks flying as his McLaren bottomed out before spinning into the wall. The older driver easily maneuvered his way around the debris, forced to turn away before he saw the outcome of Lando’s loss of control.
“Bono, is Lando okay?” Lewis demanded over the radio.
“We’re checking,” came Bono’s reply almost immediately.
“You’ve got his onboards, mate!” Lewis snapped back. “Is he okay?”

"Hey Lando? My mum is getting remarried in June, do you want to come to the wedding?" Lando has heard about this wedding for weeks from Max F who was constantly rambling on about it. Of course he would love to go to the wedding of the person who was like a second mum to him.
I don't have a diary so I decided to write mini scenarios that have happened in my life recently and project the issues onto lando instead 🧍

Summary
He lies in his hotel room hours after debrief, scrolling through all the posts he’s tagged in. Reminders that he’s too young, too skinny (lies), too inexperienced. They bury themselves under his skin and stay there, a constant itch.
//
When he ends up on social media, it’s to laugh at all the haters; their words simply bounce off him now. They don’t stick and sink because they’re simply not welcome. He has better things in life to focus on.
