Summary
Almost twenty years ago, Will Laurence and his dragon Temeraire led the nations of Europe to victory over Napoleon, ushering in a new era in dragon-human relationships. The once-despised Aerial Corps gained new standing, and dragons new rights, though not everyone agreed with the changes disrupting their society.
In the village of Yarlcote, the Frisby siblings have been pariahs since their mother ran off with a former Aerial Corps captain. They avoided dragons at all costs until the day Amanda broke her leg falling from a horse, forcing the siblings to stay at the estate of the hated Rookwood while Amanda recovers.

George Penn and Ned Caulfield: their lives and love viewed through a glass, darkly.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
George Thomas Frederick Penn (12 February 1770 – 31 October 1855) was an English pianist and composer of African descent whose works span the late Classical and early Romantic eras. While his compositions were popular and regarded as significant in his lifetime,[1] they fell into obscurity after his death, only to experience a resurgence in interest and scholarship in the late twentieth century after Stephen Sondheim adapted the ballad opera The Secret of Darkdown into the award-winning Broadway musical Darkdown.[2] Penn is considered the most important British composer of color of the nineteenth century.[1] His works for solo violin in particular have been viewed as a vitally influential for several contemporaries, most prominently Paganini.[3] -

Summary
Sometimes Guy was surprised it was this simple. Other times he watched in amazement, and wondered why they couldn't be this close at all times. Why space had to divide them when time had already set them apart for so long before their first encounter.
Where Guy and Philip face together a moment of crisis (and indulge themselves in the process)
