“Aye…we are.” His exhale permeated the air, settling over the severity of his gaze held up into the night. Metia only shined all the brighter as he glared at its home above the realm.
“But that doesn’t mean we accept it… that we don’t rage, and die without a fight.”
He dropped the last of his smoke on the blighted earth before walking firmly to crouch before the small girl’s perch, hand reaching out to clasp firmly on her wounded hands.
