Richard is ready to leave, and just as he is about to he sees movement from behind the window curtain. It flutters, and then a ghostly white face is peering out at him. Richard waves a bit, trying to smile reassuringly. Jared startles back, as if he's surprised Richard can see him, and shuts the curtain completely. Richard leaves. He doesn’t give up, though.
