It was an illness that could've been avoided easily, if David would've just guarded his heart more closely. Still, he found himself hacking up the contents of his aching lungs in an uncomfortably cramped alleyway with thoughts of Jack Kelly clouding his head, and he realized that there really wasn't any coming back from this. He'd made a mistake and his life was totally and completely ruined over a boy who'd never spare him a second glance.
It was almost laughable, how much David loved Jack. He was a pathetic mess over the boy, with tiny blue flower petals stuck to his lips and chin, and visions of deep brown eyes swimming through his mind. David was lovelorn. Really and truly lovesick.

Bucky put his back to Sam and prepared to fight. “Stay behind me Sam, we can – uh!” Bucky shouted as he felt a sharp pin in his neck. “What the hell?” Bucky spun around to watch Sam drop an empty syringe. Sam met his bewildered gaze with a slight grin and pressed a finger to his temple. Bucky grabbed his neck and stumbled a half step back, already beginning to feel the affects of the mystery drug. He watched in horror as Sam’s face flickered to reveal the face of a younger man, early 20’s, black, dammit how did I not notice how much shorter than Sam he was.
Not - Sam pulled off the Widow’s Veil and pulled out a cattle prod. It may be the drug already hitting his system, but Bucky thought Not- Sam resembled Eli Bradley.A portal to an alternate dimension opens, Captain Hydra comes through looking for his lost Assets. Tim Drake was once Batman's Shadow, hand-selected for the mantle by his predecessor, Damian Wayne. He had everything - a city that he could finally help, two big brothers who loved him, a place in the world. He was ready to die for that city, that family, if that's what it took to keep them safe.
He did. Die for them, that is.
He killed, too.
Even after dying, even after killing, Tim's pretty damn sure he'd do it over again. That in mind, it should be easy to keep away from his family for the same reasons. Or, well, that's what he thinks. The little Shade that took to following him around makes that a bit more difficult. The Bats not knowing how to leave well enough alone makes it a lot more difficult.
This seems like an issue that can be solved by ignoring it and fleeing when necessary. Tim's sure it'll work itself out.
