Summary
Ninten receives a vision of aliens invading Eagleland, and the familiar, red capped kid sent to fight them. He travels to Fourside, to make sure the new boy of destiny is ready for the job.
Lloyd decides to come with him, with nearly a decade's worth of unresolved feelings in tow.
On the other side of the country, Ness meets another baseball bat swinging psychic. He’s still trying to get used to the whole “chosen hero” thing, and the new guy’s arrival only adds to the mystery.
It’s been a long nine years, and the war against Giygas continues. -

Years after the war on Giygas, one of the heroes of Earth suddenly snapped and went on a killing spree for seemingly no reason.
Ness, already having experienced the same kind of betrayal before with Pokey, threw away any sympathy or love he had for Jeff, deeming him a monster. But Paula isn't convinced it's actually Jeff's doing, she thinks there's something else at play.
Is she just FAR too forgiving, or perhaps onto something?

The two of them had been inseparable ever since they met and now he’s gone indefinitely off on a faraway crusade against the forces of evil, leaving Tony staring mournfully out the window like a widow who’s husband went off to war. Things only got worse once a terrifying group of aliens showed up and kidnapped him. He thought it was all over until Jeff blew the leader to smithereens and rescued him. Now that he’s back it’s nothing but smooth sailing… is what he would be saying if he wasn’t currently trailing behind the rest of the group as Jeff chatters with his new friends.
