Summary
James is keenly aware that he is living on borrowed time. Waiting for the cop car to show up outside of the Castle or the FAB or the Bore’s Head, for sirens and handcuffs and the ugly fluorescent lights of an interrogation room. Why Meredith is giving him time is unclear—maybe it is an attempt at mercy. Pity is more likely, though he deserves neither. A chance to apologise to his friends, to prepare for when all their lives will crack open down the middle. He cannot decide, but he is grateful for it nonetheless.
or
Meredith does not go to Colborne immediately after finding out. Oliver and James discuss what to do next.

Summary
“...Hi,” was all that Oliver managed to let out. He had lost all control of his limbs and heartbeat. All the movement he could not direct to his body was concentrated in his chest, palpitating, burning, to the point he thought it was about to explode.
The owner of those deep, familiar, wrinkled eyes stepped out on the threshold. Wide gaze, lips parted, black curls – with some precious gray threads in between – falling over his forehead. The resemblance was uncanny, his reaction left no doubt, but Oliver still couldn't believe his eyes. Not until the man finally spoke: “...Oliver?”
After convincing Filippa to support him in his search, Olivers eventually finds a very much alive James Farrow. He needs answers; and, most importantly, he needs him. -

Summary
I sleep with Alexander, or with Meredith, or, on one occasion, with Filippa: a strange, ill-judged evening that ends with the two of us laughing and promising each other it will never happen again.
But not with James. Not with James. Never with James.

Summary
“What did she say?” he asks.
Meredith sucks her bottom lip again, uncharacteristically hesitant. Though Oliver only reintegrated about a week ago, he’s already noticed Meredith’s edge, sharper than ever. She knows her worth, and Oliver guesses, without having asked, that Meredith hasn’t simply climbed the ladder; she’s clawed her way up. “She’s wondering if you’re returning for the reunion. Dellecher. Classes 1996 to 1999.”
Oliver freezes up. “Go back to Dellecher?”
Or: Right out of prison, Oliver joins the rest of his Dellecher year for the alum tradition of returning for a week, and someone unexpected shows up. (You know who it is.)

Summary
As she applied her mascara, she couldn’t help but wonder what a horrible idea to do her makeup was, especially here. Her mirror was so crowded with pictures of her “friends” she couldn’t even see her face. Instead, the only thing in sight and mind were memories of better days and foolishness.
“Oh is all forgot? All school-days’ friendship, childhood innocence?”
Based on the pictures that Meredith has on her Mirror, the days in which they were taken, so basically the gang interacting before all the tragedy, but of course there still needs to be some angst so don't worry that's supplied too.

“I didn't… I shouldn't… I-”
“Shh,” I finally murmured under my breath, placing a hand behind his head, pulling it close so that it hovered inches over mine “I know.”-

Summary
When I think of Oliver in these recent summer months, I think of our last night at Dellecher as third-years. We were on top of the world, brushing our fingers against the underside of the cloud lines as though there was nowhere to go but upward. We were rising to Olympus, academic heroes reaching to achieve fourth-year privileges alongside the eventual Shakespearian godhood. With the new millennium imminent and the world our oyster as life after college began to take form, it felt like anything was possible.
I fell for him that fateful night, an Icarian turn of gratefulness toward the sun before the fall that would be my undoing.
