Michelangelo had never really had the chance to say goodbye to Mondo Gecko, but a chance meeting during the Forever War would set off a chain of events that would force the Turtles to confront something they never thought they'd have to see again. Or: The Year of the Turtle ended just a little bit differently, and now everyone has to pick up the pieces one way or another.
Post-canonish AU story about what if Michelangelo's wish during the Year of the Turtle was just a bit different. AKA: The Mutanimals' death never got proper respect in the story so I'm doing it lmfao.
