Adaline’s heart holds many memories. She remembers the summer when her mother started teaching her the language of flowers, the night when she fell in love with the constellations, and the rainy afternoon when Rogue, the ash grey fur ball became part of her life. She even remembers her first four suitors and if she wants to be honest, she would like to forget three of the four of them. One of her most beloved memories is the autumn evening when the Alhambra Theatre opened its doors. However, perhaps the most beautiful December night of her life was when her son, Samuel was born.
Adaline wrote eighteen of her memories in her journal, so those precious moments will never be forgotten...A sequel of my previous work, 'The iris and the rook'.

Summary
The next movement was so incredibly fast, Harry wasn't even sure what had happened until he saw his mugger fall backwards, a knife embedded in his head. There was a small pool of blood, and he recoiled from the shocking display of violence. The man stood there completely unperturbed, and Harry wondered what he would do next. He went into a state of panic when he came right for him, and Harry scrambled back from him.
The man paused, hesitating, and crouched down to be at eye level with Harry. He was good-looking, thought Harry absently, and his face could have passed off as nobility if he hadn't casually murdered a man in front of him.
"Are you alright kid?" there was genuine concern in his voice, and Harry was torn between trusting him and blasting him away with a magical outburst.
OR
Harry gets expelled in his second year. He runs from the Dursleys, goes to London, and meets the Assassin twins- Jacob and Evie.
And then it just spirals from there.

Jacob stands in the middle of the Crows Nest, glowing green and gold in Evie's vision. She hovers at the door - noticed by everyone, but not acknowledged. The Rooks give her a smile as they enter, but seem to notice how their Lieutenants seem upset by her presence, how their leader stands with his back purposefully pointed at her. It's a blind spot - a sign of open trust towards his Rooks, but also a sign of hubris. She's an assassin, she could easily kill him if she so desired. He's left an opening in his defense, showing Evie he doesn't see her as a threat.
And he's right.
